Before the workshop

In order to participate in the workshop, you must be a postgraduate student at Imperial College London. You need to sign up via the Graduate Schools.

Before the workshop you need to do three things:

  • Check that you can have a wireless internet connection set up on your laptop, and that it works on the South Kensington campus. Please bring your laptop to the workshop. If you do not have access to a laptop, please let me know. You will need this for the flash-blogging exercise. For more information, see the ICT webpages.
  • Email your wordpress login name, together with your real name, to ejc05 [at] imperial [dot] ac [dot] uk. If you don’t have a wordpress account, you can register for one here. I will use your wordpress login to make you an author on this blog, ready to take part in the flash-blogging exercise.
  • Make a note of the name of your favourite science blog, and your favourite non-science blog. Bring these along to the workshop.

If you have any problems with the above, email me – ejc05 [at] imperial [dot] ac [dot] uk.
